Who produces, who receives, who spends — and how much. 3,665 observations across twenty-two years, 2000 to 2021: forty-two economic operations crossed with seven institutional sectors, in uses and resources.

The Integrated Economic Account is the most complete document the statistics office publishes. For each operation in the economy — output, consumption, wages, taxes, interest, insurance premiums, capital transfers, saving — it says where it originates and where it goes, split across corporations and quasi-corporations, households and individual enterprises, general government, financial institutions, the rest of the world and the goods and services account.

The founding identity, verified on every row: total uses equal total resources. That is what makes this document an accounting system rather than a table of figures. Added to it, on each side, the six sectors must sum to the total. Sixty-five tables out of sixty-five pass both.

An external check as well. These series are republished across editions — the 2000-2012, 2000-2013 and 2000-2014 volumes all carry the same years. 2,561 observations out of 3,665 are confirmed by at least two distinct publications. It is the only check that is not internal to the table: both accounting identities would hold on an entirely wrong column.

What the page layout demanded. Uses occupy the left half of the page, resources the right half, and the operation's label sits between them. Reading by text order mixes the two halves and turns an expense into a receipt. We therefore read positions: the header row, listing seven columns then "Opérations" then seven more, gives both grids and the boundary at once.

Two traps in that layout are worth stating, because they say what the file avoided. Label and values sometimes occupy two lines — "Gross output" alone on one, its figures on the next — and the row came out without values, vanishing from the table: a missing operation looks like an unpublished one. Joining them yielded gross output across nineteen years instead of two. And when a value's position falls outside both grids, it stays glued to the label: those residues produced three hundred and ninety-six headings where the table holds forty-two.

Unit and scope. Millions of current dinars, as published, unprocessed. Twenty-two years, 2000 to 2021; the most recent are semi-definitive or provisional per the office's own wording. Three hundred and fifty-three keys where two publications disagree without a majority are not published.

This product complements our "Quarterly national accounts", which give the same aggregate at a finer frequency but without the institutional-sector breakdown.
