Terms of sale
Last updated: 26 August 2026
These terms govern the sale of datasets on Data Marketplace. They are accepted by the buyer before any payment.
1. Publisher and purpose
Data Marketplace is a marketplace where producers offer datasets and buyers access them, for a fee or free of charge. The publisher's identity is set out in the legal notice. The platform may also act as producer of its own datasets.
2. What is sold
A purchase grants access to a specific dataset, in the version current at the time of purchase, by download or programmatic reading depending on the channels offered on the product page. Each dataset carries its own licence, stated on its page. That licence prevails over these terms as regards reuse rights: some datasets prohibit resale or commercial use. It is for the buyer to review it before purchasing.
3. Price and payment
Prices are shown on each product page, in the displayed currency, inclusive of any applicable taxes where relevant. Payment is made online by card through the provider Stripe. No card data passes through or is stored on our servers. The order becomes final once the provider confirms payment.
4. Access to the data
Access is granted automatically upon confirmation of payment, with no manual step. Some producers may choose to review each request before granting access; where this applies, the product page states it and the buyer is informed before paying. A free product is accessible immediately after subscribing.
5. Right of withdrawal
Datasets are digital content supplied without a physical medium, whose performance begins immediately. Before any purchase, the buyer expressly requests this immediate access and waives the fourteen-day right of withdrawal, which is lost upon download. This waiver is collected and timestamped at the moment of purchase. Without it, no purchase is possible. Business buyers acting within their professional activity do not benefit from this right.
6. Refunds
The producer may refund a paid invoice, in particular in case of error or a justified complaint. A refund terminates the corresponding subscription and immediately revokes access to the data. Payment provider fees may not be returned.
7. Availability and warranties
The publisher takes reasonable steps to keep the service available, without guaranteeing uninterrupted access. Datasets are provided as is: their accuracy, completeness and currency are the responsibility of their producer, and each product page documents the known limitations. The publisher cannot be held liable for decisions taken on the basis of a dataset.
8. Personal data
Personal data processing is described in the privacy policy. A dataset may itself contain personal data; its page states so, and the buyer then becomes controller for their own use of it.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first through the contact address shown on the site, before any legal action.
